Nashville, TN (March 12, 2014) - WEX Fleet One, a leading provider of fuel cards and fleet-related payment solutions, today announced its staff had provided a monetary donation to the American Red Cross. The WEX Fleet One Giving Committee collected over $2,100 as part of their February campaign to raise awareness and funds for the Disaster Services team of the American Red Cross.
Brandie Spradley, representative, Donor Resources America Red Cross Tennessee Valley Blood Region said “Since 2006, Fleet One has collected 341 units of blood, and have saved up to 1,023 lives.” In the coming month, WEX Fleet One will sponsor another company blood drive to help solidify their commitment to the middle Tennessee community.
More than 100 employees at WEX Fleet One made a financial contribution to this outstanding cause. Allen Goetz, a WEX Fleet One Giving Committee team member said “The WEX Fleet One Giving Committee helps direct employee donations to local charities. We wanted to conduct a drive to collect money for the Red Cross on top of our annual blood drive. This allowed more employees to help out a great cause."
